It's been quite the journey, honestly
Three friends sitting on a Vancouver rooftop at dusk, watching the city transform. We started wondering why no hotel really captured this magic. That conversation turned into sketches, which turned into a dream we couldn't shake.
After months of searching, we found this building on Twilight Boulevard. Yeah, the street name sealed the deal - felt like fate, honestly. The structure had good bones but needed serious love. We spent the year planning every detail, obsessing over lighting angles and window placements.
Well, the world had other plans. Construction during a pandemic wasn't exactly what we'd signed up for. But our team was incredible - they believed in what we were creating. Those delays gave us time to refine things, to really think about what people would need from a space like this.
Soft opening in March, official launch in June. Those first guests took a chance on us, and hearing their reactions - seeing them pause in the lobby as the evening light came through - that's when we knew we'd gotten it right. The concept we'd dreamed about was actually working.
Added our spa and wellness center after guests kept asking about it. Expanded the restaurant's evening menu. Started our 'Twilight Sessions' - live music during golden hour that's become this whole thing. We're always listening, always tweaking.
We've got regulars now who come back just to experience 'their' sunset from the rooftop terrace. Business travelers who extend stays because they're not ready to leave. That's the real measure of success for us - not awards or ratings, but people who get what we're doing here.
